When beginning the writing process, start by gathering evidence and research from reliable sources. This will provide support for the argument that you are making in your term paper. It is important to make sure you include citations for each source used. Once you have your sources, craft an introduction that captures the reader’s attention and outlines the argument of the paper.

After writing an introduction, it is important to move on to developing your thesis statement; this should be placed at the end of your introductory paragraph. A thesis statement is a one to two sentence summary of your paper’s main point. After writing the thesis statement, it is important to provide supporting evidence for each point you are making. This should be done in body paragraphs; make sure to include transitions between each paragraph as it will help keep your paper flowing.

Lastly, craft a conclusion that wraps up your paper and summarizes the main points of your argument. The conclusion should also leave the reader with a lasting impression. After completing all of these steps, it is time to proofread and edit your paper for any errors or typos. You can also have someone else read through the paper to get an outside opinion.
